Hoping there is some progress on this.  Creating new folders is a daily task for me and it is counter productive and time-wasting for every. single. new. folder. to open.

There is also increased risk for error because new folders can easily be created inside new folders without realising.

Dropbox can we please have some urgent attention on this one.  Many thanks.

Hey maurice bahnen, thanks for posting here!

At the moment there is no available setting that'd allow you to do that.

However, I'll forward your feedback to the appropriate areas so we can continue to improve.

If you need anything else, let me know!

Is there any updates on this?

New folders automatically opening is incredibly annoying and takes up so much of my time when I need to file things under time pressure.
