Hi Makcyee
Do you still see them at www.dropbox.com/home ? If so you should be able to download from the website, or, once upgraded again it will commence to sync back to linked devices.

I see them on the explorer files on my pc but l cant open them, they act like they are corrupt or rather have an x on them and fail to open. But thanks for response. What if more than a 6 months has passed without renewal, will it still be fine as l was downgraded.

You didnt answer my question - you need to see if you can see them at www.dropbox.com/home. THAT is where they will download from and so THAT is where you need to be checking.
And after 6 months you may find not all are recoverable - Dropbox does delete files to bring people back under quota, hence me saying, check online to see what is available first.
