removing a shared folder

How can I remove a folder that was shared with me? without asking the sharer to remove it for me. I wanted to increase my storage since it's almost full due to the shared files. hope someone can help...

    If you delete a folder inside the shared folder itself, then it would be deleted for all members of the shared folder.

    The folder could then be recovered from the deleted files page within 30 days of the deletion.
