Hi Sqetch
Dropbox cannot delete the files on its own - something on one of your devices has initiated it. When they reappear back online click on one of them and click on 'see previous versions' and it'll show which device did it - look there as to what happened. The usual ones to look at are removable drive? network drive?
- Sqetch2 years agoExplorer | Level 3What do you mean with “when they appear back online”?
I don’t see that happening…- Mark2 years agoSuper User II
Sorry I thought you said you'd rolled it back.
Have you restored the files? Have a look at https://help.dropbox.com/delete-restore/rewind to try that OR you may need to rejoin the share / be invited back in
- Sqetch2 years agoExplorer | Level 3Mark,
As you can see in my initial post, there is no way to recover/rewind the folder. Dropbox can’t find any history of the folder.
It’s simply vanished and unshared for all members.
If this mass deletion was cause by one of our removable drives, why in the hell can’t I restore the files in the web UI? As a business member paying this much for safe file keeping I would assume these files are backed up online!
Regardless of this being solved, I am definitely switching FS provider because this is laughable.
