How to see who access your Dropbox link
I have a private link to a folder. Is it possible to see who accessed it and when, in the arears if I set up a Dropbox Professional, Business Advanced, or Enterprise plan? I want to make sure it was kept confidential with intended parties.
- LusilDropbox StaffHey there BY4, thanks for posting your question here.
Generally, when someone opens a shared link who wasn't specifically invited to the file, or doesn't have a Dropbox account, no details will be displayed.
Even if you have a Dropbox Business account, if they weren't invited to the file or if they are not part of the team, they'll appear as a Guest.
You can find more information about this, here.
However, do you specifically want to be able to see who views the shared link or restrict access to it?
Let us know and we'll take it from there. Cheers!- BY4Explorer | Level 3
Hi!
Thank you for the response! I'd like as much data as possible. I guess the shared link wasnt the greatest idea in hind-sight and can ad invites instead. Is it possible to get ANY data at all with what I have?
- WalterDropbox StaffI'm sorry to jump in here, but would the traffic and insights feature work for what you had in mind BY4?
