Hello all. Will try to keep this brief. *I have a 2024 Dropbox folder for photos. *I am taking photos on a camera (because I want to) then once a week, copy the photos into the dropbox folder. *I have the sort set up to 'date order'. *Quite often I want to change the order of the photos within the Dropbox folder and/or add a photo into the folder that someone has sent me on whatsapp, or that I have taken on my phone. *These phone photos just land in a heap at the end of my Dropbox folder and don't automatically go in to date order. *Also, Dropbox doesn't allow me to simply drag some photos into a different place. (I have tried changing dates on photos, but it just gets ignored). I'm sure there is a very simple solution to the above, which I look forward to as I'm not that computer literate. Hope the above makes sense; when I put this query into Google, it seems to just ignore my actual question.197Views0likes2CommentsUsing AI to sort and search my photos
Hi, it's 2024 . IA is here. Please, scan all my photo and suggest something to sort them or help me find what I need. I have a Folder "Camera Uploads"with more than 30 000 photos from my phone. It is impossible to sort them or search them or even to navigate in the folder. Ex : I want to find the photo in a night market in china . It takes seconds within the Iphone. It is impossible on dropbox except if the photo is named "night market china" (spoiler : it isn't) . So Dropbox is good to save the pictures but barely usable to use/search for them . Please do something950Views3likes4CommentsI can't sort the Dropbox files on my Sonoma 14.4 by name, nor drag them into subfolders.
Hi Jay, maybe you can help me with a couple of issues.I just bought a new Macbook running sonoma 14.4. My dropbox on the desktop won't sort by name. It will sort by anything else.when I use LIST it sorts fine, but as columns it will not. i also cannot seem to drag files into a sub folder. It will go as far as a root folder but no further... maddening!!227Views0likes1CommentHow to sort files in the Dropbox desktop app?
I have been searching for an answer to this, but no one else has a solution for what to do when the normal sorting options are not working. Everyone says just click View and sort by name. Well, this option is not working, or I wouldn't be writing in. I am using a brand newmacbook running Sonoma 14.4 w/ M2 chip and 8 GB RAM. I am trying to sort dropbox desktop app by name as it is hard to find things otherwise.I just stopped using a Macbook from 2013 and I never had so many problems as I am having w my new one! A friend told me to ' fix it in terminal" but I am not that skilled to want to do that on a brand new mac. All other threads are rather old. thank you phyllisSolved511Views0likes3CommentsDropbox Vault offline access
Hello, Dropbox Vault sounds like a very nice new feature, and I was wondering how to access it while I'm not connected to the internet (i.e. offline). On my Mac, when I click on the Vault icon it always opens up the dropbox website, and doesn't seem to be letting me access it locally. Any way to access dropbox vault offline/locally?7.7KViews5likes12Commentshow to upload non duplicates to dropbox

I compile/update a Dropbox table of contents for a club I belong to. Subfolders and files used to be co-mingled together in alpha order within the main folders. Now the folders are listed first (in alpha), then the documents below them (also in alpha).....the folks who have admin rights say that nothing changed.Solved1.1KViews0likes9CommentsNew named Dropbox structure
I am a user of DropBox Business, on Windows 10. Last week, I suddenly realized that the shortcuts to some of my Dropbox folders were broken. A quick look learned me that the structure had changed. While I used to access my folder through: C:/User/{username}/Dropbox (COMPANY NAME)/, I can now find them at: C:/User/{username}/{COMPANY NAME} Dropbox/MyFirstName LASTNAME/ Now, both structures seem to remain while the first one is now a hidden shortcut (although I can't seem to see where it links to). So that I don't really know where my files actually are. Is this change documented anywhere? Thanks After a couple of days, I realized this happened to all of this Dropbox Business users across the company, Mac and Windows, and that it messes up with backup strategies. I didn't find anything about this new structure in DropBox's changelog.20KViews2likes156Comments
