How to remove files until I'm below storage?

Hi, I'm currently on the basic plan and using 4.7Gb storage.

I would like to remove folders, music, video out of my Dropbox account until I'm below the 2Gb threshold for the free account.

Being retired, I no longer need a large storage facility and less than 2Gb would be ample.

How can I accomplish this?

Thanks,

Hey @Clifff, let's jump right into this!

The first thing you'd need to do is check your plan page to see what's taking up space for your Dropbox account.

Once you identify if it's shared content, your own content or Dropbox Backup, I'll be happy to send you the appropriate steps in order to remove them.

    I hope this helps!

Megan contacted me yesterday following my 'help' request which was how do I reduce storage to below 2Gb to qualify for free plan. I think I have the information if she can contact me again please.

Forgot to add that the whole 4.7Gb is Dropbox Backup

Hi @Clifff, as you mentioned that the data is being taken up by Dropbox Backup, you can delete the backup and free up the quota by following these steps
