Can you clarify what kind of document you're taking about?
Are you referring to a Dropbox Paper document or perhaps to a Microsoft Word one?

Thanks for clarifying, SK81!
When selecting your images to upload to the doc, try selecting both at the same time; they should show up next to one another in the doc.
