"Dash" to "Marker' change when editing paragraphs.

Hello! Could you help me please? How can I switch off the automatical change of the dash to a marker in the beginning of the paragraph? It's really important for me because I'm trying to write some dialogues.

Hi bina_nostra, welcome to our Community!

If I understand this right, it seems you're using Dropbox Paper when editing content, and you wish to change the default dash that exists there, to point out your place into the document, to a marker, right?

Provided you're talking about something else, and you're not using Paper, feel free to clarify.

Can you shed some more little on the marker please? If you have any screenshots of this, feel free to attach them, in order for me to have a visual too.

    Keep me posted!

      Hello, Megan!

Thank you very much for your answer.

I've got the opposite problem, I need the marker to be a dash. When I try to write a dialogue, I put a dash "-" firstly, then I press a space bar to write next text. After that, the dash "-" starts to be a marker "•". I want to switch off this automatical change, is it possible?

      Thank you!

        Hi bina_nostra, gotcha!

At the moment, there's no way to change how that works. However, I'll forward your feedback to the appropriate areas so we can continue to improve.

In the meantime, and as a workaround, you could try using a double dash -- in order to achieve what you want.

        I hope this helps!
