Hi Phlurim, thanks for providing these details!
It sounds like you've marked the file to be available offline, instead of downloading it and deleting it from your Dropbox account.
Do you have the Dropbox desktop application installed on your machine? Is the Dropbox folder visible in Finder? What is the quota breakdown according to this page?
