Viewing "Online only" file in Adobe Bridge

[ Spoiler ] When I view "Online only" files in Adobe Bridge, thay automatically become "Local" files, even if I don't open them. That's very annoying. Is there a way to prevent that? Thanks 🙂

    Hi there, if a file is viewed in Adobe Bridge, then the file needs to be downloaded to the machine to view it.
     
    There wouldn’t be a way to prevent this, since it would stop the file from being viewed.

This needs to be revisited across the board, in Finder, Bridge, whatever. The experience of viewing thumbnails for online-only images is so totally inconsistent and frustrating. There has to be a way to just cache thumbnails for everything reliably. If there isn't one, give us a right-click to Generate Thumbnail. 😠
