Decryption fails running iOS 14.2
Just updated iPhone and iPad to iOS 14.2. Now, trying to open an encrypted file, it tell me "Decryption Failed. Null" If I open with Excel, it works fine. Anyone else having this issue?

I also have success opening an encrypted file within Dropbox after updated 14.4 IOS update. Thanks for everyone's help and input.

I have updated to apple software to 14.2. I am trying to open a file that is NOT encrypted, and I get a message that "decryption failed. null." Can anyone help me?

Hi there lynnegell; thanks for joining our Community!
This seems rather strange; can you reboot your device and try to access the same file again?
If the issue persists, could you let me know if you're able to access it normally from a web browser?
Thanks!
- lynnegell4 years agoHelpful | Level 5Walter, I have rebooted the device, and I still have the problem. As many others have said, this seems to be an issue with password-protected documents, whether or not they are encrypted. I can access the dropbox file from my laptop. It is only an issue on my phone (which has the iOS update installed.
- lynnegell4 years agoHelpful | Level 5Also, I am not able to access the file from the dropbox website on my phone. It says the file is password protected, which it is, but there is no place to enter my password. Please let me know if I’ve answered your questions properly. Thank you!

I'm getting the (Null) "Decryption Failure" when trying to open an encrypted file (Excel) in the Dropbox IOS app, but the file will open from Dropbox to Excel app with no problem. Frustrating. Occurring since updating IOS as well.
