Add .dropboxignore directory to exclude folders without using selective sync
Please please please can you add a feature that allows folders to be excluded from the Dropbox account (on windows and mac). For sure I'm not the first person to request this, but I'm yet to find a good explanation of why it's not there. A quick google search reveals loads of people also looking for the same feature. I really like the workflow I have with dropbox, but it's getting to the point where I might switch providers in order to allow better selective sync. I've seen hackish solutions using selective sync, but it would be great if this could be done in one of the following ways: - global pattern matching eg "node_modules" - a marker file in the directory like .dropboxignore - a simple right click context menu "Ignore this folder" Other than that, keep up the good work. Unzip/zip a file inside Dropbox
Uploading the zipped file to dropbox and unzipping it inside would save a lot of time and traffic for users. Some of the web services already exist for that (like this one http://www.quora.com/Is-there-a-way-to-decompress-a-zip-file-inside-Dropbox), but as they use their own server capacities, they cost money. Unzipping inside the dropbox may be an additional feature inside the dropbox itself. I would even pay for that a little xtra.

Sync dropbox across multiple locations/hard drives
I have a larger dropbox account than my primary hard drive. It would be great if dropbox could support virtual links to files outside of it's default location, without those files having to also be in the main dropbox folder. I am aware of shortcuts/aliases on windows/OSX, but those don't solve the problem if my primary drive has limited space. Can we have the Command Line Interface for Windows/Mac?
Even though, there is a command line interface on linux (which has start, stop and, soon, pause options), there seems to be no equivalent feature on windows nor on mac. This feature should be easily transferable. I see no technical reasons why this cannot be possible (especially to mac), is there any?

A way to uncheck all folders in the Selective Sync settings
I have many folders and files in my main computer's dropbox. I have a laptop with a small SSD so I can't allocate much space for DB. I need to use Selective Sync to pick which folders. By default all folders are checked. It would be very helpful to have a "uncheck all" checkbox in the dialog box, so I only have to check the one folder I want to share. I also want to have a way NOT to sync the files in my root folder. Using Mac OS 10.9

Dropbox as a virtual drive - files added become online only immediately
It would be good if Dropbox had a feature where your space could be used as a virtual drive. So, as opposed to files and folders that you create (eg using Word or Explorer) and place on your Dropbox being created as local copies initially, and then you having to mark them as On Line Only for smart sync to remove them from your HDD and add them to your Dropbox, instead these files just automatically go to your online space. I realise that if you create files and folders using the desktop app that this will happen automatically anyway, but I don;t want to use the app as I find it clumsy - I just want to create and edit files on a normal daily basis but have everything stored online.

Please allow pairing of more than two accounts. As a contractor, I am a member of a company's business account, a team member of another company, and have my personal account. It is frustrating to only be able to pair two of them, so that when I need to access the third, I have to completely sign out of the others and sign in fresh for the third.

keyboard shortcuts for smart sync
One of the things that would really be useful to me was if I could create 2 keyboard shortcuts for toggling Smart Sync on my Mac. Right now, to bring files locally or move them online only, you have to select the files, right click, and then go to Smart Sync > Local / Online Only. This is not a hard thing to do clearly, but I find myself frequently toggling this, and it would be so much easier if I could just select a group of files and enter a shortcut to bring those files locally or put them online only. I've followed instructions online to create custom shortcuts before, but I don't know how to do it for something like this, if it is even possible. Thank you in advance!

Choosing which folder to add camera uploads
With multilpe users on my dropbox account, I need a feature where I can select which folder mobile uploads are directed to. My wife and I both use our phones for work, and we take a lot of pictures. Dropbox currently mixes all the photos we both take into a combined folder. I would like to have a serparate folder for each of us.
