Why are my iPhone photos imported as .heic files when uploading them to my Dropbox account?
Why are my photos from iPhone suddenly imported as .heic files to Dropbox? This only happened this week, say on Tuesday (July 4th). Has never happened before. Now I cannot see these photos on the desktop version of Dropbox. On the Dropbox app for iPhone, I see the files (with the ending .heic) but I cannot open them and cannot preview them. Why can't I download files and folders from Dropbox to my computer?
I am new! this system as presently experienced is worthless ---so it can't be right? Why do videos uploaded to Dropbox from iPhone X only play audio on a desktop?
All videos from iPhone X have sound but the video image is missing when downloaded to myPC running Windows 10. The videoswere shot on multiple video apps with the same result. The result is the same for automatically synced videos (Camera Uploads Folder) or uploaded manually with the ios app. The videos appear to play normally within the Dropbox web app but when downloaded to my PC the problem occurs. Hi, I don't understand why I'm having such a big problem downloading a movie from my Dropbox file onto my MacbookPro laptop. The file is only 1.2GB, I'm connected to my router with an ethernet cable, with a fibre-optic connection of 50/50Mbps uncapped and unthrottled. I've tried many times already, but the download is either ridiculously slow or stops altogether. I'm on Dropbox Pro, I have plenty space on my laptop hard drive, and I'm not doing anything else on the laptop at the same time. Am i doing this incorrectly or what? Can I delete files on Mac that are uploaded to Dropbox and not lose them?
I am trying to find a solution/alternative for my storage on my Macbook Pro. Basically, I want to upload certain folders from my Mac that contain large files (i.e. video) to Dropbox and then be able to delete them on my Mac so space is saved. iCloud allows me to upload, but if I delete them on my Mac, they will disappear on iCloud. It sounds as if I can do this with Dropbox and not lose the files. However, is this true? Bonus: Is there a way to automatically sync some folders to Dropbox but no others. What I am trying to ultimately do is: 1) Move all files on my Mac to Dropbox automatically 2) Be able to manually delete files from my 'Video' folder on the Mac yet still have them stay put in Dropbox 3) Be able to download those deleted files when I need them My Mac is out of space and trying desperatelyto find a solution!Solved60KViews1like8Comments
download large file using browser fails before end
Using Firefox have downloaded 7.4GB of a 7.9GB file. Resume continues the process and shows the duration remaining but after a few minutes it stops again with message "Failed - dropbox.com". Have repeated this for many days with no improvement. The target folder shows <file-name>.part file with 7.49GB size. During the resume the <file-name> shows with zero size. Have tried with IE also but with similar results. Am downloading to a local drive to avoid any LAN issues. Can anyone advise how to solve this problem and download the whole file please? Why are the videos I upload to my Dropbox account playing sound but no picture?
I have never had this problem before and it is very frustrating. I have a ton of concert videos that I took on my Iphone. They upload to dropbox. From there I copy them to my PC and create folders to save them. I have done this for years. But now when I do it all I get is a music note and sound. The videos are not there.
