I sent a link from my basic account to a friend. They used the link and on my account it said waiting for install even though they had downloaded dropbox.. Now when I put their email in the referral box it says they are already a user and is not giving me the extra storage. Hello Everyone, I frequently invite friends and family to join Dropbox, and as a Computer expert, I personally spent time ensuring their invitations were accepted hence i accepted the invitations myself. I also installed the Dropbox desktop app and mobile apps for document scanning (I'm an avid Dropbox advocate for document management and always shared with people how dropbox helped me). However, when reviewing the status of my referrals, the information appears incorrect as the invitation were accepted and desktop apps installed, all by myself. This issue has been ongoing for years, and though I’ve overlooked it in the past, I now feel compelled to address it and pray my referral space be credited as earned. Could you please assist in resolving this matter? I hope Dropbox credits me the space for these people i invited and managed the installations myself hence i was very sure the invitations were accepted. i 28/12/2021 s 31/8/2023 o 3/9/2023 k 19/9/2024 I invited these people and personally and assist them accepted the invitations myself, installed and set up their dropbox accounts and teach them how to use Dropbox to scan documents but the displayed status are not corresponding and no space of 500MB each were given to me. I have the basic plan, so can't run this issue by support. I want to refer a friend for more storage space.I'm pretty sure I do not have a "team" account, which I understand makes one ineligible to refer a friend and get additional storage. When I go to my avatar, there are no "settings" in the menu and thus no option to "refer a friend." Rather, I get "preferences" in leiu of "settings" and no ability to refer a friend. I think I've clicked everywhere to see if there is a work-around, but I can't find anything, and again can't ask dropbox support. Ideas? in the last 6 monhts, I invited two people to Dropbox. One of whom is my student and the other one is my colleague. While both signed up and installed the app on their laptop and have been using it actively, I have yet to get my 1GB space (2*500MB). When I checked the status online, it still says "waiting for email verification". What the heck, 6 months? Hi All - I upgraded my basic free account to the plus today and also sent a referral link to a friend who signed up. I received an email that my friend signed up and that I'm getting an additional 1GB (which I thought should be higher with the plus account) and it's saying my total amount is now 2 TB which is what I already have with my plus account.
