Word documents won't save to dropbox - goes back to 'Document 1'
If I start a new Word document ("Document 1") and go to save it to a Dropbox folder with a new name ("The saved document"), the document window will have the new name across the top for a couple of seconds and then it goes back to 'Document 1'. The file will appear in the dropbox folder but it will be empty. Same thing happens saving other documents - I end up with empty docs. Sometimes it appears to work if I save it to another dropbox folder rather than the one I want to save it in, or perhaps it's just that it works after multiple attempts. But I'm finding it's easier to not save to dropbox at all, but save to my local drive then copy and paste it over. It's annoying. I have no problem saving to OneDrive or to the C drive so it seems to be a dropbox issue. I have looked for solutions but can't find anything.Blank word word document after saving
A client has a word doc that is saved in dropbox shared folder. She simply opens the document and renames it creating a new file. The new file is then saved to the same location as the previous file. However, the new is blank. This has been happening intermittently over the past week. The user can ooen the file and saved it locally with an issue.
Importing Data in Excel from Dropbox
I have an excel file on Dropbox. I want to import the data from this file to another excel file (which I want to share to others) viaGet External Data - From Web feature. But whenever insert the link in the excel file for the Dropbox file, it opens a page but does not let me import the table from there. Please help.
Saving documents to Dropbox on my iPhone
I create a word document in Microsoft Office then save to a folder in Dropbox. On retrieving the document I discover it’s a blank page. I’ve powered down, deleted app then reinstalled it, as suggested by Apple support but to no avail. Is it because Microsoft want me to take out a subscription as I had this free version of Office for years or does the problem lie with Dropbox? I’ve been using Dropbox without any issues for the past 5+ years
I keep getting an error when I try to open a word document - Additional permissions are required...
I keep getting the message to Grant File Access, followed by another message in chich additional permissionas are required. reading another post on the subject, restarting the computer does fix it. but this is happening on a daily basis. This is a mac running Mojave10.14.4 (18E226). I can't seem to find what the pattern is, why this occurs. It happens maybe when it is syncing but then I cannot access any more files in the whole dropbox after the error moment onwards.
Excel file macros do not work in shared dropbox folder
I have an excel spreadsheet on my desktop computer that uses macros in order to automatically sort my tenants. When i upload this spreadsheet into a shared file folder with my partners, the macros no longer work and the file is not automatically sorting. What is going on. Why does it disable macros?
Temporary files are created for Office files only in the Dropbox folder
good morning, I need your help. I use dropbox for job, from the account that my boss created for us, we have shared dropbox, so if I change o cancel a file, every people see that changement of cancellation. it's been a few days that every time I edit an excel or word file, it creates a lot of temporary files and this, creates confuzione for all the other collegues and I have to cancel all of them by hand. my collegues see tha changes and the sharing is correct but it continuosly creates temporary files and I dont' understand why. I absolutely have to solve it. I'm waiting for your help. thanks
