Dropbox client for MacOS should be available at the App Store, not as a separate download. All major software packages use App Store. This is more convenient for installation and updates. It is safer for general users to install software from App Store that to make random searches on the web trying to find the client, and it is more likely that users ignore scam emails suggesting updates or upgrades that may potentially install malware instead.7.3KViews0likes1CommentDropbox App not in AppGallery from Huawei
Can you put your Dropbox app in Huaweis app store called AppGallery? In AppGallery 15613 people are subscribed on waiting list for your Dropbox app. The dark number of waiting persons is higher. Huawei has 5 million users in Germany. AppGallery is the third largest app store in the world. I bought the Matepad Pro 12.6 with HarmonyOS and AppGallery. If you don't put your Dropbox app in the app store, I can't use and synchronize my Dropbox on desktop and phone with my new tablet. Then I have to switch to another.4.5KViews5likes4CommentsDropbox for Harmony OS
I am a Apple computer fan. I have iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, Macpro, Apple Watch and use all the Apple accessories. I have also been a fan of HUAWEI product phone and tablet. I store all my photos to Dropbox. Recently I upgrade my Dropbox program on my HUAWEI Matepad pro which I bought last month and I could not use it anymore. I used to share my photo through Dropbox app on it but after the upgrade it showed ‘Installation failed. The app dropbox is missing required components and must be reinstalled from an official store’ can you help me to correct this. I am always a big fan of Dropbox and love it because you can connect me to all the device that I have because I share a lot of photos. But now I can not use it on my HUAWEI Matepad pro. Which I used to do it. Please help.4.2KViews3likes4CommentsDropbox Lite Edition
Motivation: Current Dropbox updates currently clock in around 250MB. With frequent automatic forced updates that you cannot opt-out of, this often eats up bandwidth at inopportune times. For someone constantly on the go without robust internet connections, this can be very frustrating. (Also, on my Mac computers, the updates often fail right at the end and have to start all over again essentially turning Dropbox into malware.) My gut feeling, as a developer myself, is that there is feature creep at play here which is bloating the app. Proposal: A Dropbox lite (or minimal) edition that strips out non-critical features to slim down the size of the app and updates. I feel like a basic file-syncing app, with deliberate effort, can realistically be made an order of magnitude smaller.1.5KViews1like1Comment
