Dropbox stuck on "Starting" after upgrading to Ubuntu 24.10
I have recently upgraded to Ubuntu 24.10 and have noticed that Dropbox never gets past starting. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and settingfs.inotify.max_user_watches to 1 million and it still does not work. The reason for settingfs.inotify.max_user_watches to 1 million was because this was the number that stopped this happening in 24.04. Has anyone else come across this issue and has found a resolution?
The Dropbox application does not open on my Windows 10 computer
My Dropbox application does not open. I have uninstalled and installed again, I have restarted the computer but it does not open. I use Windows 10 Pro. I can see all the files when I open my account in the browswer, but the desktop app does not work. I can open it in an android, but not in windows.
"Access is denied" error after transfer of Dropbox from an old computer to a new one
Hi, My laptop screen broke and my software and data was mirrored on to my new laptop. My Dropbox files are on my computer, but the Dropbox App isn't working. For a short while I did not realize this, because I could actually save new files to what appeared to be my Dropbox folder. I suspect I have to re-install Dropbox. My concern is that I added new files to the dropbox folders that I don't want to lose. I haven't found a way to easily identify those files to preserve them by copying them to a different folder. One of the issues is that I get an error message when I try to access a Dropbox folder directly. I am pasting the log entry below. Can the Dropbox desktop app start and sync files without logging in to Windows (Server)?
Good Morning We are trying to use DB to share data between 4 servers. We have a task in those server who write an automatic file everyday at 18:00hrs How can we use DropBox and forçe to upload those files without login windows server ? The files only upload after we login windows. Thanks CF
