Make file prefixing an option - file requests
When someone requests a file using your request a file tool, the person who uploads the file's name gets added to the file name eg janedoe_filea.pdf . This is really frustrating and I end up having to rename my files. I did a search to solve the problem and I see there are other people that are quite frustrated by the problem but apparently there is no fix for this? File Requests: View the email of the user who submitted a file
Regarding the new "File Request" functionality, the person submitted a file is asked for a valid email. How do I, the owner of the file request, view that email address? I can only see the person submitting's name, but not their email.16KViews41likes30Comments
Permanently deleting closed file requests
I would like to permanently delete closed file requests. I use File Request to help clients send sensitive information to me securely. To improve security and their confidence, it would be nice if they could verify that the File Request is going to me, not someone spoofing me. To do that, you could perhaps display the requester's email address on the File Request. Hi there, we have a Business account and need to use the Dropbox file request feature. The problem is when a user land on the page, he’ll read the member name who has set the file request folder. It would be great to have the business team name instead, or, still better, the choice between member name or business team name. We use the feature to collect documents necessary for registration to our workshops. Candidates do not know my name, they know the institute’s name. Seeing my name might be troublesome.
