How can I completely disable Smart Sync?
How can I completely, 100%, disable Smart Sync so that Dropbox will always download all of my files? The settings I have found all apply to NEW files and seem to have no impact on old files. Drobox for Android - Upload Folder Including all Files and Subfolders
Being that android devices have a file manager, I was really hoping you could copy a folder (including all files and subfolders inside the folder) and paste on to Dropbox inside a Dropbox folder. Is there any possible way to upload a whole folder of files from the Google Android operating system? I don't think this can be done at the present time. That would be really super if you could. Hello, The terms of use are a bit vague, so I need some more clarification please, particularly in layman's terms. If someone writes erotica (their own), and uploads to Dropbox to share to an 18+ audience, can they do so? Same question applies to those who have made their own amateur or professional porn videos Same question applies for amateur/professional porn audio (recording masturbation, etc.) Same question applies for amateur/professional porn pictures (nudes, photoshoots, adult models, etc.) As long as the porn is not illegal (aka includes minors, animals, those who cannot give consent, etc.), and all parties involved in the MAKING of the adult content are 18+ and consent, can they still upload and share their adult content? I create printables I share on Etsy, and because the files are so large, I send a dropbox folder link. It USED to be that the page the link went to would have the choices at top Copy to Dropbox and Download ONLY. Now every link has Join Folder, Copy to Dropbox, and Download. I keep getting email requests to join the folder, which is really annoying. I just want someone to be able to download the files, and that's it. Why do shared folders take up my own account's space?
I'm working for someone who has a dropbox pro acocunt unlimited account. However, it won't let me upload to his dropbox because I have a free account and limited storage. I work for lots of people I can't join every storage solution out there. He has paid for pro, I should be able to upload to it and it should not count as part of my digital storage. I'm uploading images for him to use, into his dropbox acocunt, my account should not have any bearing should it? If it does its a very very stupid bit of product planning. Why does DropBox rename photos based on modification date rather than creation date?
Previously, DropBox renamed camera uploads based on the photos creation date (EXIF: Date/Time Original). This makes sense because you want the photos to be name-sorted based on when they were taken. Now DropBox renames camera uploads based on the modification date (EXIT: File/Modification Date/Time). Create File Request Directly From Destination Folder
It would be great if we could create file requests directly from the destination folder, rather than going through the file request section and manually scrolling through our firms hundreds of folders to find the right one. The procedure should be: Navigate to the desired folder as usual -> click button that says "Create File Request to This Folder". I just got off a chat with one of Dropbox's representatives. In short, I have a Dropbox professional plan and I created a separate folder for each of my students. Yesterday, one of my students got a message that her account is "full" despite me having two and a half terabytes of free space left. Well, guess what, space is calculated double - once on my account and once on hers. So, let me get this straight, if I share a big folder with a lot of files with, say, 20 people, Dropbox will require all 20 of them to pay for the same amount of space!?
