Dropbox Transfer
12 TopicsDon't remove Dropbox Showcase !
Hello, I just heard that Dropbox Showcase was going to disappear. I am both sad and very upset to hear this news. A few years ago I decided to take out a Business subscription for this tool. This unique tool, almost perfect, that makes all the difference! Indeed, I use Showcase on a daily basis to respond to calls for tenders from my clients. Dropbox Showcase allows me to create a response where the customer can find videos references, images, quotes, .etc ... all this in an interactive and professional presentation. This tool is perfect in my opinion! The interface, the ease of use with being able to import your Dropbox files, .etc ... it saves me incredible time! It allowed me to show off my projetcs and win many calls for tenders! I have always had very positive feedback from my clients thanks to Showcase. You say today that you replace this tool with Dropbox Transfer, I am deeply sad because it really has nothing to do with it! I feel abandoned. I found InvisionApp which comes close but which is useless for me because I am a videographer and it is impossible to host videos in it. To my knowledge you were the only ones in this area, and no tool today will be able to replace what you had built! 😞 I don't understand your decision and I share with you my deep disappointment. 😞 Please, don't remove Dropbox Showcase ! 🙏 Bye, Olivier.27KViews62likes67CommentsHow do YOU access Dropbox?
Hi Dropbox community - I'm a design researcher here at Dropbox. I'm curious about how you access Dropbox! How do you access Dropbox: the website, the desktop app (for mac/windows), and/or the mobile app (iOS, android)? For those you use, why do you use them? For those you don't, why not? Is there anything you wish you could do on one that you can't today? Why?9.5KViews6likes11CommentsDropbox to iCloud files show zero bytes in iCloud
So before you tell me it's an iCloud issue, allow me to explain. My Dropbox renewal was about to expire. Not wanting to pay for 2,000 gigs I didn't need, I chose to move to iCloud. The files in Dropbox were dragged into a single folder on my Macbook desktop. From the Macbook desktop, I dragged the folder into iCloud. I deleted the files on Dropbox. SOME not all of the files on iCloud say zero bytes. I'm thinking that files in Dropbox had not completely uploaded or moved to my desktop and SOMEWHERE in the process, they didn't land. I attempted to restore deleted files in Dropbox but I couldn't find them. 1. Since it was those files that exceeded my Dropbox plan, AND I have not upgraded the dropbox account, are those files LOST forever? 2. Any other suggestions as to how to recover those files so I can transfer them to iCloud?2.5KViews0likes9CommentsMultiple Different Sync Users
Good morning. Im working for a business that is using Dropbox as a means for us to transfer files between devices around the city. We all have our own username, but all log into the same dropbox. My question is if I have 3-4 different systems all setup to SYNC their dropbox folder, how does it decide which one takes priority? For example If i have folder X, Y and Z on PC 1, but then on PC 2 I've made adjustments to Folder X. When PC 2 goes to sync to dropbox, how does it decide if it should upload the adjustments PC 2 made to folder X or to sync back to the Folder X original that is present on the other two PC? ThanksSolved2.4KViews0likes3CommentsI have a question about the 2GB transfer limit. Can you help?
I have purchased Standard of dropbox, it states that i have 5TB of space. So why can i not tranfer files larger than 2GB? thats just stupid and a waste of time, i got dropbox so i could transfer my files to another PC easily and i cant even do that. Why does it have this limit?Solved1.9KViews0likes1CommentA Dropbox transfer will expire; will I lose the files?
Hi, I'm new to Dropbox and use it mostly to save photos, recipes, articles, etc. A few days ago I copied a few photos from Dropbox to my "Photos" app on my iphone. I just received a notice of expiration for these transfers. If I go in and delete the transfers, will the photos still be saved in Dropbox? I don't want to lose the photos. The notice says I have to upgrade to change - what does that mean? Thank you!801Views0likes1CommentHow to remove photos from Dropbox & leave on PC.
My photos are on Dropbox and my PC (via desktop app). If I delete a photo on Dropbox, it seems also to delete the photo on my PC. Is there a way to leave photos on my PC and delete them from Dropbox (so I can reduce my storage)? Any suggestions welcome.794Views1like1Comment
