Dropbox Sign
25 TopicsHow to access Dropbox Sign fully from Dropbox
I have a Dropbox Essentials account, which should give me access to unlimited signing in through Dropbox Sign. I only use this on my desktop. Last year when I was still on the Dropbox Plus plan with limited signing, I was having trouble setting up and managing the signatures and its settings. I was advised (in this community) to try logging in directly to the Hello Sign site (using my dropbox login). This worked - I could access the HelloSign/Dropbox Sign full app, which let me set it up properly and which was much easier and more comprehensive to use. Now I am trying to get back into the full Dropbox Sign app, but cannot do so. In Dropbox itself, I can click "signatures" on the left menu, but this gives me only a very abbreviated version of the functionality If I go to Dropbox Sign (sign.dropbox.com, which then takes me to app.hellosign.com/account/login) and click "sign in with dropbox", it takes me straight back to dropbox.com/signatures; same as in the previous point If I go to Dropbox Sign (sign.dropbox.com, which then takes me to app.hellosign.com/account/login) and enter my email address, it tells me there is an existing Dropbox account associated with that email, then takes me straight back to dropbox.com/signatures; same as in the first point again However I approach it I always end up in Dropbox with a dumbed down version of Sign. In this simplified version for example I cannot: Upload, view or manage default signatures Upload more than one file for signing (no option to send, for example, 3 documents to be signed as part of the same signature request See who has/has not viewed or signed a pending document - I am limited to the email notifications that come through Put a title for the signature request; every request is named whatever the file is named. This means I need to rename files so they are distinguishable to me in the signed documents list, which clashes with my normal file naming system Remember the size of a signature/initials box within a document (in HelloSign it remembered if a box was resized and all subsequent instances of that box would be the new size; with Dropbox on the signatures tab, I need to resize again every time. What am I doing wrong? How do I access the full Dropbox Sign (Hello Sign) app? I know I don't get access to every feature within it with my plan, but I should still be able to access it for the basics shouldn't I? The simplified version in Dropbox itself is so awkward to use I might have to switch providers otherwise. Any help appreciated!Solved5.3KViews1like7CommentsFix Dropbox Sign update
This new update to Dropbox Signatures is terrible. Previously, I couldn't stop singing Dropbox Signature's (Hello Sign) praises. Here's some of the issues that I'm hoping Dropbox will fix: 1) Have had several instances where documents won't send out for a signature with no explanation other than "Try again later." (One instance has had to be resolved via a ticket). 2) Adding fields for signatures has been particularly problematic. Fields now take a long time to place on a document. They glitch and move very slowly across a document before I can place them where they need to go. Other times, they will just delete after I click and drag them from the menu bar. Previously, one could resize a signature box and newly created boxes would automatically revert back to that size (very convenient when doing multiple signatures that needed to be resized); however now any new boxes always inflate to a abnormally large signature field that I constantly have to resize (again - very time consuming when doing multiple fields for multiple signatures on multiple documents). In the past, one could also double click anywhere on a document and the previously selected signature field (e.g. - signature, date, initials, etc.) would populate right there on the page. Now, that feature is gone. Double clicking doesn't do anything. Instead one has to go over, click the desired signature field and then click back on the page every time. 3) A last feature previously available before the update was when adding signers you would enter someone's name and if they had signed documents in the past, their corresponding email would automatically populate in the signer's email line. This feature is no longer available. These may sound like minor things, but when you're sending multiple documents a day with multiple signature fields the time wasted quickly adds up. Previously, Dropbox Signature was perfect and I couldn't praise it enough. This new update needs to be updated again to include these features or reverted back to the previous interface.2.7KViews1like1CommentHelloSign issue - I can't see my signature requests as I'm getting an error
I have a HelloSign free plan. I have never (in the almost a year I have been using it) been able to get the page, where you are supposed to be able to see your signature requests, both pending and completed, to give me anything other than 'Failed to load signature requests.Retry' and the stupid picture of the cat with the broken umbrella. I've tried both my laptop and desktop, and Firefox, Chrome and Edge. Same result every time. Any ideas? Thank you.2.5KViews1like9CommentsHelloSign >DropBox
I have had a Business HelloSign plan since 2020. Recently I have been trouble signing in. Today I finally am unable to sing in at all. I also have a free DropBox account. The log in credentials are the same for my free Dropbox account and what used to be my Business Hellosign account. Now I can not access any of the prior docs that were sent out for signature. I can not check the status of them or access that account at all bc when I log in it directs me to my free Dropbox account.2KViews0likes3CommentsDropbox Sign - view all outstanding signature requests without other admin permissions
Hello, We have users that need to follow up on pending signatures. There are no granular controls on admin's roles to only see all signatures that are pending or have been signed. No other permissions are needed other than seeing an "admin" side of signatures.1.3KViews0likes3CommentsWhite background when uploading a scan of my signature cannot be removed
Hi, I have decided I will try out the Signature feature. I wanted to upload a scan of my signature to be used. Unfortunatelly, the app does not remove white background. On the top of that, it even adds white background to a png with transparent background (yes, I invested extra effort in removing the white background with other app). At the end of the day, I have an excel sheet with blue background that I cannot sign with dropbox signature feature as it would leave white box around the signature. For example Adobe Reader automatically removes white background from uploaded scanned images of signatures. Is there a solution I am not seeing? Thanks, Josef1.3KViews5likes3CommentsSend For Signature missing from Context Menu as of last week
I have confirmed this behavior on 3 different computers. I'm guessing there was possibly an app update that has removed the "right click" > "Send for Signature" function from Dropbox ? How do I go about getting it back ?1.2KViews0likes17CommentsFeature Requests
Please allow us to add watermarks on mobile devices. This is a fairly major pain point for me. Please allow for better workflow for renaming a file after watermarking. Finally, please consider offering a paid tier for signatures below unlimited. The current price is a bit rich for my needs since I don't have a ton of things to sign but I will periodically have 5-10 in a month. I would rather use Dropbox's workflow vs, say, Adobe's but I currently use Adobe when I have more than three documents to sign.1.2KViews0likes1CommentGive users the option to NOT have PDFs flattened (so links in documents stay active / clickable)
I noticed with great surprise that Dropbox Sign would not only by default flatten PDFs where links were previously added, there is also no option to reverse/enable this. So that links would open in a new tab so the signee can check the links before signing a document, for example to confirm something. I get it that somebody may come up with some risk regardingsecurity threats (but then again, how would there be a risk? Did it ever happen or did somebody THINK it may happen?). If we consider this for a valid reason: where is the difference between leaving links clickable in the first place, or to do this whole process to add Hyperlinks manually and inefficiently (which is possible currently), as also then, URLs would become clickable, only that it takes you a lot of time and is prone to error (e.g. if a few or many different links would need to be added). Anyway, it'd be great to give Users of Dropbox Sign the option to not have PDFs flattened.1.1KViews0likes5Comments
