I just got off a chat with one of Dropbox's representatives. In short, I have a Dropbox professional plan and I created a separate folder for each of my students. Yesterday, one of my students got a message that her account is "full" despite me having two and a half terabytes of free space left. Well, guess what, space is calculated double - once on my account and once on hers. So, let me get this straight, if I share a big folder with a lot of files with, say, 20 people, Dropbox will require all 20 of them to pay for the same amount of space!? Anybody from Dropbox cares to justify this!?Solved2.7KViews3likes10CommentsFile Request upload feature is skipping large files
A folder with 55 items was uploaded with various sub folders. A few files were skipped on the receiving side resulting in only 46 received. Files skipped were not over the 50gb limit. There is no notification on the sender or receiver side that those files failed to upload or erroneously skipped (they were normal .mp4 as the others). DB devs needs to investigate my last file request make, I can't keep using a paid service that fails its foundational use case. It's happened to me a few times now all with different file requests/people/file types.File request link results in blank screen
Anyone else experiencing this problem? ALL of our file request links result in a blank screen when clicked. It is not a browser issue, as it's been tested across many browsers. I wasn't aware of it until a client advised me of the problem. Dropbox are looking into it, meanwhile this has been ongoing since Tuesday and still no fix. The copied link shows as [removed], then when entered, changes and inserts _edisonhttps://www.dropbox.com/request_edison/xyz Thanks in advanceSolved4.7KViews1like18CommentsFiles are suddenly zero kb
Hi, I have browsed through the forums, but couldn't find any relevant posts. I have a few documents that are several years old, SUDDENLY they are zero kb and cannot be opened. I haven't really changed anything in my set up. (I am on a Mac, Monterey, OSX 12.6.1, but I'm pretty sure the problem was there even before I updated to Monterey) The issue relates to BOTH offline and online files, i.e. they are zero kb both online and in my local folder! I have tried switching between "make files available offline" and "online only" but to no avail. Please help, since these are quite important files. Thanks//Oscar1.9KViews1like10Comments
