Why is there picture rotation when importing files into Microsoft Photo Editor from Dropbox?
I shared a link to my dropbox for a file with photos. The person I shared it to opened the file in Microsoft Photo Editor, All the pictures were rotated 90 degrees from their orientation in dropbox. Is there something I can do to make sure this does not happen?
File in Dropbox on my HP, but not in Dropbox on my iPhone 12
I have a cookbook in Dropbox so I can share it with my grandchildren. I created a new recipe today Potato Soup in Word and saved it to Dropbox. It shows up on my HP laptop where I created and saved it, but I went to Dropbox on my iPhone so I could create a link and text it to them, but it doesn't show up on my iPhone. The rest of the cookbook is on my iPhone.
How to make my files available offline, so that I'm able to transfer them?
Hello everyone I am new to Dropbox. I have the free trial. I am trying to download all my photos from various phones into Dropbox. Then I am going to transfer them onto an external hard drive. I have just downloaded Dropbox onto my PC and the photos all have clouds next to them. How do I download them so I am able to transfer them. I have thousands so doing this as multiples would be better TIA.
Camera Upload thumbnail not showing on mac
I use Smart Sync I'm on a Macbook Air Ventura13.5.2 I know SmartSync doesn't download the files to your laptop but I'm pretty sureI used to get low-res thumbnails of the images in my Camera Upload folder Since updating to the newest OS that seems to not work anymore and I just see the generic icons now. If I "make it available offline" then it downloads the image and the thumbnail works but I'd love to have a low-res thumbnail so I can tell if I should download it or not.
I see a box next to my photos on my computer and I can no longer open them.
I have used Dropbox to save my photos from my phone and have access to them on my computer. Suddenly I've noticed that I do not have access to all my photos on my computer. I see them, but they have a box around the photo name and I cannot open it. Is this because Dropbox has suddenly started asking for subscription money? And, if I pay, will I have access to my photos once again?
"Smart" sync keeps downloading Online Only Files
I am growing increasingly frustrated with this so called "smart sync" feature Dropbox has recently introduced (or rather forced upon me). I have a number of files I've brought over to Dropbox using the finder on my Mac, that I have then marked as online only, in hopes that it would upload the files and then remove them from my local storage, which is limited. However Dropbox keeps randomly re-downloading the files to my system even after telling it that I want the files to be online only. This feature is supposed to "save hard disk space", which it does seem to do temporarily before it just starts downoading things again. It seems as though the only safe way to keep files from my drive is the old fashioned selective sync from preferences, but this is a backward way of working, especially when I want to have the folder show up on my local drive so I can bring files into it, but I may want those files to only live online. Has anyone found a solution to this abnormal behaviour (that, once again I might add, was forced on us as justification to increase the price of the paid service)?Some videos on my account can't be previewed on the site or when I download them
When I click on my videos it says .mp4 files are supported but something went wrong I have tried using an incognito window and a different browser. I can't preview my files at all. When I download them they show up as a .mp4 but no preview. When I try to play them QuickTime Player says they can not be opened.
All my files shows as 0 bytes both on desktop and website
Hi, I have been using DropBox for years. I recently had my laptop stolen and when I went to login to my DropBox it has told me that my DropBox has been full since April (without my knowing). Aside this however, nearly all of my documents (pre-dating April) now show as 0 bytes (on Dropbox through web and on desktop). I don't know how to get these files back. Given my DropBox storage had reached capacity in April, presumably all files before this were saved. Everytime I try and open there is nothing there !
