Add option to auto-delete original file after it's been converted via automation
I have automation set up on a folder to convert all .heic to .jpg. However after the conversion, there's no way to automatically delete the original .heic and just keep the new .jpg. Thus I'm wasting a lot of space on duplicate images, and have to manually go in and delete the heic's. Could Dropbox add an option to the automation workflow to delete a file after it's been converted?1.3KViews6likes4Comments
Dropbox Capture - Additional Features to Increase Productivity
I have been using dropbox capture on a daily basis for the past 6+ months and have completely replaced "Snipping Tool" on windows. I love that the pictures are automatically saved in dropbox, but I believe the below features could increase productivity even further. While most of the time I delete the unwanted pictures by directly opening the capture folder on my computer, I think it would be useful if a feature to select multiple screenshots or videos recorded directly from the dropbox capture website allowed me to delete them easily. Also, while deleting pictures one by one on the website, it asks every time whether I want to delete or not for every picture. It would be great if it allowed an option like "Don't ask again for 30 minutes". Also, if there is a way to change the thumbnail size on the dropbox capture website so we can see what's in the screenshot that would be great. Maybe add a hover feature to increase the size of the picture temporarily. In addition, the capabilities to sort files stored in Dropbox Capture by Videos and Pictures would be useful. An additional option could be the time they were stored etc. I do like that the most recent one shows up at the top of the page on the website. Lastly, another feature to maybe automatically show all screenshots on the website instead of selecting "Load More" to view additional features would really save some time.6.3KViews3likes14Comments
Deleting files from Recents folder
I want to be able to delete files from my Recents folder without deleting them from Dropbox. I do not want to just hide them because it is easy for someone to select "show recents" and see the files I viewed. This is an urgent feature Dropbox needs to implement.3KViews3likes4Comments
Setting to stop initial deletes for Non-Admins
I am aware that you can disable permanent deletes for non-admins, however, being able to disallow non-admins to initially delete content would stop any issues being caused by accidental deletion - which could be left up to more senior members of the team.1.5KViews2likes4Comments
No Trashbin on the mobile app
When you are on the web version, you can either restore deleted files or erase them permanently. But on android version, you can't do it for the Deleted Files or trashbin selection was missing on the menu. It would be great if it were possible to set a user so they cannot perform bulk deletions or moves of files. One of the users, who does not have admin rights, accidentally moved a folder with 350,000 files. As a result, we lost the functionality of the links when returning the folder back. It would therefore be great if some users could be restricted so that it is not possible to move or delete files beyond a certain quota.228Views1like3Comments
Option to select and delete multiple shared links
There was a request for this feature back in 2018 but looks like nothing was done. I want the option in the "Shared", "File requests", and "Deleted files" menus to select multiple files at once, or "Select All" and delete them in one click. Right now, we have to manually go to each link/file individually and click the 3 dots to the right and delete the link. This is super inefficient and cumbersome and there needs to be an option to select all or choose multiple links/files at once and process them together. Perhaps including updating the settings across shared links as well as a checkbox/multiselection feature so if preferences change across multiple links, they can be edited and updated via a checkbox feature.1KViews1like3Comments
Prevent Folder Deletion
Allow an admin to prevent users from accidentally deleting a primary team folder and it's initial file structure. In other words if it's not user created they shouldn't be able to delete the folder. Think how a workstation would be to where the user can only do certain tasks and for other tasks they need an elevated account holder to perform.
