Requesting a feature update that would allow org-mode /Orgzly files with the extension ".org" to be viewed as text files in Dropbox.
Orgzly for Android allows for creation and editing of org-mode files in Android, and syncing with Dropbox. Being able to view the files would useful, without having to open them in a text editor (e.g. Emacs).

Any advances on this?

Waiting for this feature.
At least Dropbox should be previewing like a plain-text file.

This is probably the most important feature missing from Dropbox Mobile for me right now.
Echoing earlier comments:
- plain-text only editing will be enough for most users of `.org` files
- text rendering is a nice bonus, but not necessary

Seriously, is this absurd and/or difficult enough to do that it's been dragged on for years now?

If the code isn't a total mess, this should amount to adding `.org` to a list somewhere. It will the best bang for the least buck that Dropbox will ever get from a feature request

Just piling on to say that I'd truly appreciate adding this feature, or any subset of the features others have already suggested within this comment thread. I use Dropbox to maintain my org files across *nix, MacOS, and Windows and this would be a game changer for me, especially on mobile. Thanks!

You can use organice to view, edit and search your Org files. It’s a FOSS application that works well on mobile and desktop browsers: https://github.com/200ok-ch/organice

I vehemently +1 this!
You can see how GitHub and Gitlab render Org mode files as examples.

+1 please implement. Level 1, basic support could be to just render as a text file. This would take almost nil effort.
Level 2 support could be to render it nicer, like github, as others mentioned.

I can view .org files as plain text now on iOS! Does anyone know when this was added?
