Store offline files on SD card on Android devices
I have an ASUS ZenPad 8 running Android 6.0 and right now I'm running Dropbox on the internal memory. This works great but I'm using up ~4.5Gb of internal storage. I'd like to run Dropbox on my 128Gb microSD in the tablet but don't know how to do this.
I can (and did) do this on my Window's desktop but that was relatively easy, basically just changing the location call for Dropbox from my C: Drive to the D: Drive.
How do I do this in an Android system?

I reported this issue, AGAIN, to Dropbox Customer Service and also have attempted to send an email on this issue to the President of Dropbox, Inc. I encourage ALL of YOU to contact Customer Service. Maybe if they hear enough voices they'll start to listen.

This is horrible, how hard can it be ? I have spotify that stores data on my SD card. Leaving dropbox, there are other services.

I belive this used to be a feature.
Can we please have synced Dropbox storage on an SD card?
That is where the space is on my android device. And, it could be an encrypted folder.
Thanks

I have been.asking for this.for a.number of YEARS! Dropbox is the largest app on my phone, consuming a good deal of ROM space. No other app that I have on my phone has this deficiency. I have neber been givem a reason as to why it is unsolvable by Dropbox techies.

This is really frustrating. I have a Box account as well as a paid for Dropbox one. I acquired the 50Gb lifetime on Box years ago as part of a promotion and keep specific parts of my older research material in Box. I have more data relating to other projects in dropbox . On my new Android tablet (Samsung S5e) it was a simple instruction to move Box to run on the microSD card. it works, meaning that I can keep quite a chunk of material on my 128GB card without overloading the 64MB on the tablet.
How can I achieve the same result for Dropbox. Truly frustrating.

On my Android phone, I would like to store Offline files on my SD card, not in Internal storage. It would be great if tehere is an option, in the settings, to choose where to store my offline files.
I thing this is very important, and it was requested by customers many times. Is it so hard to implement this?

This seems like an obvious option. Upvoted.

This was a primary issue with me. I was forced to pay for DropSync app to be able to perform what I believe should be a simple function well within the DropBox app's capabilities.

Definitely, I can't think of any Dropbox users who would not be more than happy to have the possibility to store files in SD cards of Android devices Please listen to this request

Come on Dropbox users - there must be more than a slim few of us who want to be able to run Dropbox storage on the microSD cards that make up the "external" drives on our phones and tablets. The coding between Dropbox on a desktop or laptop (where you can change storage from the C: to the D:) can't be that difficult to adapt to an Android app.
