Keep vault files stored on the device when using Vault
I recently started using Vault for my more sensitive files. However, I was disappointed to see that whenever the Vault is locked, they are removed from the device and have to be re-downloaded whenever I want to access them. I like the idea of the Vault, but if there isn't a way to keep the files on my computer locally, will likely stop using the Vault feature. This is mainly because I want to still have access to these files in the event the internet is down. Plus I like the redundancy of having copies of my files both in the cloud and locally.

I have files I want to back up to Dropbox and have available on my devices. These files are sensitive and I do not want them to show up in Recents, Starred, Suggested, or Photos. Ever.
I thought Vault could be an option, but I didn't realize that it removes the files from your devices when it's locked. And with a lock time window of 20 minutes, I cannot unlock Vault and download gigabytes of files and use them before it locks and removes the files.
This functionality was available in Carousel (and part of the reason I decided to move all of my photo storage to Dropbox), and it persisted until a few months ago, but now is gone.
I need files stored locally on devices for easy access, and I need those files to not be a privacy issue when I open Dropbox on the web.

Imagine being in an emergency or foreign country and needing access to one's vault files on one's laptop (this is precisely the scenario type of scenario the vault is advertised to address). However in these scenarios, one may not be on wifi or one may have bad slow wifi. In a case like this, one will not be able to access the files in their vault!
- The files in the vault are not available offline on ones PC
- Each time the vault locks, even if the files in it were previously sync'd locally they all 'unsync'.
Due to these issues, this puts one in a worse situation than if the files were in the standard non-vault areas of Dropbox where they would exist locally offline, as long as the individual originated the files from the local device or has ever opened them on the local device.
