I need an affordable Family plan with decent storage.
I have a familiy with five members. Everybody has a Dropbox account. It is no option to pay for 5 pro accounts. Even one pro account is too costly. What I need is a affordable service for my family with a reasonable amount of storage. $100 for 1TB is "double" too much.
We love the service, but there are other (in home) options. It's time to change....

Hi everyone,
I'm changing the status of this idea to Delivered as our Dropbox Family plan is now available for up to 6 members of the same family. If you'd like to know more about what you can do with Dropbox Family, you read about some of the benefits here.
Thanks, and have a great day!

I'd like to have more space for my Dropbox Family account. 2TB is not enough for me/us. 3TB would work better, and would be happy to pay for that.

What about offering a competitive offer in response to Google Drive and iCloud storage such as a Family plan of 200GB for 2 euros/month ?
Would be happy to pay for it, otherwise will keep using Google Drive...

What they really need is a family unlimited plan. I'd pay $25/m for a family of 6 to have unlimited storage, now that's reasonable. Apple is stupid to not offer FREE unlimited photo/video storage to all iPhone users. Talk about even more loyalty they would have and more people switching to iPhone just for the free storage. They make these awesome cameras that create huge files then expect us to store it all in under 2TB, give me a break!!

There is NO service offering a Family Unlimited Plan, you could be the first. It is SO needed with everyone having a cell phone and taking photo/videos and there is no one solution storage for everything. You offer a 2TB plan, with up to 6 people, that's NOTHING, that can be filled up with videos from a weekend at Disneyland. There needs to be an affortable, unlimited, family plan available. $25-$30 per month would be reasonable for a family of 6. For more users it could be $5 per addon as your family grows. If Apple was smart, they're not sometimes, they would offer free unlimited photo/video storage to anyone who has an iPhone. Talk about loyalty. But they screwed up and left it wide open for competition. It's just a matter of who's going to take it, I'm hoping it's Dropbox.

I have the same problem... and more, I would like a family plan for 99€/year. Competition is offering less storage options, more storage for a better cost and family plans better adequated. A pitty you are forcimg people to move away.

I waited so long... time to move. I am moving to Koofr.
Dear Dropbox,
I have been a user since day zero. I recommended plenty of users to Dropbox. I wanted to pay you a few bucks. I've begged that I can pay you. But 120 dollars (times 4 family members) per year for the cheapest plan is simply too much.
I do not need terabytes of data. I do not need a preview of files or branded watermarks or integration with the calendar. All I wanted is file sharing. Soo simple.
There will be no way back. I already migrated. And even if you would offer better plans I will not look back. And I will suggest the same to everyone around me.
So long and thank you for the fish.

I would love to see the family plan. I would happily pay ten dollars for my family. But I am not going to pay 4*10 dollars each month.
It is fine to have 2TB as an aggregated limit for the whole group.
