Dropbox lite for Windows

Hi folks,
With the permanents updates that make the Windows app bigger and bigger, my laptop computer is slowing down. And I don't talk of the evil time when the app update when I want to work, eating the ressources, not even aking.
But I don't use 80% of the features ! (the vault, paper, etc...)
There really should be a lite version of Dropbox, just to sync some of the folders. End of the story.
Fast, light and discrete. Even on a 5+ years old computer. And it wouldn't update whithout my consentement, because it already do all the work I need.

I would like this as well. Dropbox is using a lot of my resources. A Lite version would come in handy.

Here are some settings/tweaks that I use to keep Dropbox tamed on my Windows 10 machine:

    - The easiest option is to always have Dropbox set to pause indefinitly. Even after a restart of your computer Dropbox will start paused. Simply unpause it for a moment to update your files. Then pause it again. If the pause indefinitly options is not there try updating manually via the Dropbox website.

    - Set priority for dropbox.exe to "Below Normal".
Press the "ctrl shift esc"-buttons simultaneously --> Go to Details --> Right click dropbox.exe --> Select "Priority" and click "Below Normal". If you see multiple Dropbox.exe' set them all as "Below Normal".

    - Set network connection as "Metered":

I don't know if this really works for dropbox, but it helps other software using less background internet connections. Go to your network-button in de right bottom corner of the taskbar --> right click the wifi connection you want to set as metered --> click properties --> toggle "Set Metered" to on.

Be Ware! Windows Update will now only check for updates and send you a notification that they are ready to be installed.

    - Disable scheduled update of dropbox (not recommended):

Go to File Explorer --> right click "This PC" --> click "Manage" --> double click "Task Scheduler" --> Click "Task Scheduler Library" --> select both "DropboxUpdateTaskMachine..." --> Right click --> click disable.

Dropbox will not update anymore! For security reasons this is not recommended.

My computer is 8 years old, I'd like to see this implemented too. Feature bloat is a bane.
