Add possibility of rename Backup folders. If you have only one computer, it go fine, but if you have more than one, it ends being very confussing. Due iCloud Drive issues, I've changed all of my Macs "synchronized" Desktop and Documents to Dropbox. However, take a look to the picture:
It is very difficult to guess what is what. With the possibility to rename them, I could have named "My iMac", "My MBP 13", "My MBP 15". Very easy to see what is what.
(As a workaround, we can change to detail view, but could be more easy for all of us be able to change the names).

Editing post... going to move over to Backup Beta.

Hey MBernhardt , users should ''opt in'' for Beta services, as they are subject to additional terms. Once you ''opt in'' or update to Dropbox Backup Beta, then you can’t roll back to the previous version.
Hope this info helps!

Also I just want to be clear. If a new user install DropBox and enables backup, does this mean that they will automatically be on the beta? Or does the software ask if you want to be on the beta first?

OK, thank you. I also use CrashPlan AND Apple's Time Machine, so I'm not so worried about loss of data from a Beta version. For me, the sole purpose of the backup feature is to be able to access certain files in Documents/Desktop/Downloads from another computer, like I do any other files in DropBox.
What I don't understand is why they didn't simply add the ability to change the name as a small extra feature instead of rolling it into a major functionality change. The backups used to be named clearly, as you can see in one of my screenshots above. DropBox removed that clarity for reasons unknown. And for reasons unknown, those old names remain on 2 computers while the other 2 are called Mac3 and Mac4!

Hi MBernhardt, if you want to move to Dropbox Backup Beta, you will need to delete and re-enable Backup for all your devices (if you have more than one). Also, good to note that you won't be able to roll back to the previous version once you update.
Hey there as well mathydv. Unfortunately, I can't speak for our Product teams regarding deadlines, but I know Beta Services are an awesome way to gather user feedback. If you're curious about our 'Alpha' and 'Beta' processes, we have a bit more info here.
Cheers,
Sam

So I am trying to understand. In order to move to backup beta, I have to turn off backup for all 4 computers and then turn them on again? Because I only see a few backup options when I try it on the one computer that doesn't currently use backup. Is there anything else I have to do?

Hi there mathydv and MBernhardt 🤚🏽
Sam from the Community here, checking if this is the feature you might be looking for?
If you go to https://www.dropbox.com/backup/all, you can edit the names either by using the menu ellipsis or the Rename prompt at the top.
