This is what I need
I have access to a Dropbox folder via my Gmail account. A customer puts files there once a week. I'd like these files to be attached to an email and sent to my corporate email using from:my Gmail account.
Note that the clients are not allowed to have Internet access so the idea is simply email the very own files (not the link to them) to the clients when they are added to a folder (by a distributor which for instance is to add new documents for many people subscribed to their company)

If you know people who would like it make sure they come and give it an upvote... its not something I've ever heard people wanting if I'm honest
API is not something considered by a normal user to explore and implement and you're right about the sharing but the feature I asked for is something many people look after AFAIK.

I cannot see this being something Dropbox ever sets up (as the idea of Dropbox was to remove the need for files to be emailed between people), but, you could possibly do something yourself with the API?
