I'm a graphic designer with over 15 years of workload. This obviously equates to extreme files sizes. I was disappointed to learn Dropbox don't offer a package for single users over 3TB. I work solely and require more cloud space and don't want to have to upgrade to a 'per user' plan as this isn't cost effective. This option has to become available soon.
How many more comments like this are necessary before a more flexible plan for individuals is created? I'm a sole proprietor photographer and videographer and need add-on storage options as my need for more storage grows! It can't be this hard to create something like this.
I gave up dropbox after 10+ years and found another cloud service. There are many similar to it. I wrote several messages in this chat and sent emails and chatted online. The answer was aleays the same - you must upgrade to à business account (3 at leats).
I transferred all mu files to another service, which took me more than a month and I’m happy with it.
I really liked dropbox and it was a pit to let it go.
Many professionals and individuals do not need 3 TB or many advanced services. 100 GB and the features of the basic plan are sufficient. But a very low annual cost.
Cloud means flexibility and the ability to use the amount of space and computation you need when you need it. As a long time user of Dropbox I support this idea
Currently it's possible to have 3TB storage, plus 1TB extra ad-on. I would hapily pay for extra TB storage, but the only options I have are team options which I don't need.
Desperately need this. On the verge of switching services for my business and also my personal team as we're topped out at 5TB for our team (even though 9 is offered now). and 3tb for my person. The price points are all messed up. To jump from 20 to 60 a month for 2tb is wild
I added the additional TB of storage that was offered, and I'm already over the limit again! The business plans don't really make sense for me as a solo worker. I really just need the ability to add another TB at a time. Very surprised this isn't offered! It's essentially forcing many people like myself to seek out other solutions!
Running out of patience here. Why is it soooo hard to get something as basic as "more space" done? It's literally in the name of the service: "CLOUD STORAGE." Here's another example of companies focusing on e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g except on our most basic needs.
You'd think they want to make more money but... sure, they need "votes" to make sure that users may want to purchase more storage from... a cloud storage solution. Shocking.
Tech companies sending business away because it's not on their terms is a new one for me.
I am a longtime Google Drive user who just started using a free Dropbox account today as a second, backup cloud service after researching several other options. So far I LOVE Dropbox but was very disappointed to discover a few minutes ago that - unlike my 5TB Google Drive Account, I can only get 3TB with Dropbox. I don't understand why. I need 5TB to back up my photos and videos. Why isn't this an option with Dropbox but is an option with Google?
