What does "Disconnected members" mean?
Hello In the Admin Console's "Member" page, there is a pull-down menu where you can select members' status. What does "Disconnected Members" mean? Thank you.
- 7 years agoHi there, disconnected members are those users that have had their Dropbox account converted from the Business to a personal account away from the team.Hope this clarifies matters!
- 7 years agoThis allows users to have both accounts accessible on their machines and syncing both accounts at the same time. The team admin of the business account won’t have any access to the personal account whatsoever. Now, there’s two things you’re referring to when disconnecting the accounts. If they disconnect, or unpair the personal from the business account (using the steps in the above link), then they’ll be left with two separate accounts. There won’t be any merging or ‘new accounts’ created, since they both have separate emails to begin with. However, they won’t be able to sync both of them since they’re no longer connected, so only one account can be signed into the Dropbox desktop application on the computer. Now, if you’re referring to when a team admin converts their business account to a personal account, then it would make that business email a personal account. Like above, this will prevent the user from having both accounts sync at the same time on their machine. It wouldn’t create a new account. It simply removes them from the team, keeping the same email, and being a personal private account.Hope this makes sense!

Makes sense to me and I am not an "expert" Dropbox user.
