I am not being able to change my e-mail

I am trying to change my email by the common procedure, however it shows a red "X" (with no error message) and doesn't let me change my email address...   My email account will be deleted in a few ...

    Could there be another Dropbox account already associated with your new email address? Try to sign in, resetting the password if needed, with your new email address.
