Hi bibotheghost, how are you today?
Does this happen with all of your Excel files, or just a particular one?
If "Show Changes" is greyed out in the Excel menu bar, then it's possible that the document has been locked from having changes made. However, since this looks like a Microsoft question or issue, the best thing would be to also check in with them.
I did some research on my end, and this is what I could find about it.

tanks in davance for your support- Walter3 years agoDropbox StaffHey bibotheghost, sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that it looks like this is an issue with the Excel online and not Dropbox specific.
It could be that it's been replaced by co-authoring which doesn't provide the ability to track changes as outlined here.
I hope this helps a tad!- JulianTischler2 years agoNew member | Level 2
Hello,
I'm trying to switch over from Teams to dropbox for managing our pdfs and excel files. Has a solution been found to unclear the show changes button? Unfortunately teams allows this feature through excel and is the main reason we haven't switched over yet.
