Hi there, we’re assuming you’re referring to the iOS Mail app, not the Mac OSX app.
Have you installed the Dropbox mobile app, and does the Dropbox folder appear on the Files app on your iPad?
If not, could you confirm what version of iOS you’re running on the iPad, and what version of the Dropbox app is installed?
Thanks in advance!

This is a great question and a helpful response.
Since I do not normally use the Files app, I had not checked it. Sure enough, when I did, I saw that Dropbox was not enabled on Files. When I enabled it there, it appeared back in the Mail app.
i don’t know why it went away, but this solved my problem.
Thanks.

- CShel5 years agoNew member | Level 2I’ve lost access to Dropbox files, too, on emails from my iPhone and iPad. How do you enable Dropbox on the Files app? Only choice is iCloud.
Cannot find App Files in Settings on my phone - it’s missing too.
All files are up to date
Please help; I need to send a customer a file- Walter5 years agoDropbox Staff
Hi CShel; thanks for joining our discussion here and welcome aboard!
Based on your description, it looks like Dropbox has not been set as a location in the Files app on your devices.
Can you please open the Files app on your device and press ‘edit’? Under locations you should see all available locations with Dropbox toggle off. Please switch this on and press 'done'.
After this is done then, please try again. You should see the functionality has been restored.
Keep us posted!

Please let me know which Files App you are referring to as I am also unable to attach any files from Dropbox to mails on an iPhone. Thanks so much- Jay6 years agoDropbox Staff
Hi Mia, what version of iOS are you running on your iPhone?
The iOS Files app is something that allows Dropbox to save files to the iOS device, at least temporarily, to use in other apps.
More information about this can be found here.
