Can I have Dropbox not sync to my email address?
Can I use Dropbox (the free version with 2GB, no plans) without it syncing to my email account. If so, how do I do that? Currently it is linked to my email account and I log in using that method. I just want to stop it taking up my storage space.
- Hi Nancy, thank you for your reply. I’ve been mistaken as I thought signing in using my google account automatically sync my account’s emails to Dropbox, storing them there. Found out that that’s not the case. All good now. No issue now

Hi BV-234, and thanks for your post today.
Are you asking if it’s possible to have your Dropbox account not being linked to any email address?
If yes, I’m afraid that’s not possible, as your email address is necessary to verify your Dropbox account and give us a way to contact you, if need be.
However, can you clarify what you mean when saying you don’t want it to take up your storage space?
Keep me in the loop.
