How to delete 1 of 2 overlapping accounts?
I have 2 overlapping accounts and want to delete one without losing files that overlap. Chat sessions have not been any help and I have not been able to speak to a real person.

Hey SNupnorth, thanks for reaching out.
If I understand correctly, you have two Dropbox accounts which share files between one another and you'd like to delete one of the accounts, without affecting the files in the other one, is that right?
Are the files you're sharing inside folders? If so, before deleting the account, you can remove your access from the folders.
This will remove them from the account you want to delete, but won't affect the other one.

We each have an account and will separately go in and update, add, delete common files. All this started with free 50 GB memberships. Now we have gone over the 50 GB limit and must go to the next level or delete saved items to stay under the 50GB free limit. This could be easier to handle if we could speak to a Dropbox support person directly. The chat sessions have not gotten us anywhere because we have not been able to formulate our needs into their acceptable limitations.

Thank you Mark & Hanna for your attention!! As you can see I am a greenhorn at Dropbox usage. A big Thank You for your assistance. Hanna, I think your response was a bullseye. I believe I'll go with your response. Mark, I can see how you had difficulty understanding my wording.
Thank You both very much.
