Delete files, delete device
Hello
I have a problem with deleting a file from a USB that no longer exists. When inserted into the PC, a backup of the USB drive was allowed. They loaded into 8.5GB files, but the space is only 2.5GB. I don't know how to disable it from loading? I tried to remove the Device, but it doesn't work. Logs from loaded files cannot be deleted. How do I dump dropbox to make it empty?
Thank you
Hey 718Rose1940! Thanks for posting here.
You can easily delete files from your Dropbox account with these steps:
On dropbox.com
- Log in to dropbox.com.
- Hover over the file or folder and click the "…" (ellipsis).
- Click Delete.
- Click Delete again to confirm.
In the Dropbox desktop app
- Open the Dropbox folder on your computer.
- Right-click the file or folder you’d like to delete.
- Click Delete (Windows) or Move to Trash (Mac).
On the Dropbox mobile app
- Open the Dropbox mobile app.
- Tap the “⁝” (vertical ellipsis on Android) or “…” (ellipsis on iPhone/iPad) next to the file or folder you’d like to delete.
- Tap Delete.
You can find more information on this here.
If this doesn’t help though, please send over more details on what’s happening, and I’ll have a look.

Hi there udrzba, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Could you have a look at your backups page and let me know if you're able to delete the backup from there?
Thanks!

Hello.
If I find old files and want to see their history, it gives me an error (picture 01).
It finds the files for me through the search (picture 02).
When I went into the BackUp settings again (I did it both via the PC application and the web) and put cancel - delete (picture 03), I couldn't do it.
I did it again today (picture 04) and suddenly it's fine.
It suddenly fixed itself.
Thank you for your interest and help.
