Can't delete my Dropbox Backup

Hi,

I have a Backup set up for a PC that no longer exists. I cannot delete the backup. The help says to login, goto settings-security tab, select the device to log it out, so the backup can be deleted. The device does not exist in my list.

The instructions make sense but there appears to be something wrong. If there is nothing wrong with what I am doing how do you contact support to get it fixed?

Cheers, Garry

Hi Garryx, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Just for clarification, are there no backups visible on this page on your account?

This will help me to assist further!

Here is in my Windows file manager, in my DropBox. The, let's call it a whatisthat for arguments sake as I don't know what to call it, that appears in my DropBox folder, it is not shown here because I have right-clicked on it to delete it, it disappears, I get this pop-up message that says I can't delete the 'backup' or whatisthat. After I click OK button, the what is that returns

Msg I get when i try to delete it

Below is a screenshot from dropBox, using the link you named 'this page' where you say there are no backups.

I believe you, it is not a backup, call it whatever you like, I would like to know how to delete it.

This Page which you say has no backups

I can't delete my Backup either...so, I can't use my free version of Dropbox because it's over size the limit.

Hi from me as well, Garryx!

The “PC” folder that you mention should contain your backed up folders.

Is it possible that “Akai” was the name of your previous device that had been backed up?
