Export as a pdf
I used to be able to export an excel document as a pdf in Dropbox. In the last month it is always zero kb. How do I export as a pdf?

Thankyou Hannah,
I double-checked my subscription. Then reinstalled the app. This has solved the problem! Thankyou ever so much!
in fact Thankyou to everyone and sending you all some love from Sicilia!

Hi there Samuelharvest, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Could you please clarify your device's exact OS version and the steps you take to do this as well?
Thanks!

Hi Walter,
Thanks for the reply. I will try to answer as best as I can, but I am not very computer literate and I have very low frequency use of Dropbox
I am using an iPad about 5 years old.
When I had a document in excel, I would click the three dots top right and choose export. I was then given a choice of ods or pdf. I clicked pdf and proceeded to choose layout options and then location in Dropbox (or tablet) The pdf would appear!
Occasionally I would be zero kB and I would try again and it would work. In the last month it has been zero kB every time
Has policy changed or am I doing something wrong?

What is the exact OS version of your iPad and the version of the Dropbox mobile app installed there Samuelharvest?
Have you tried clearing the app's cache at all since you first noticed this?
- Samuelharvest2 years agoHelpful | Level 6
iOS version 15.7.5
dropbox 348.3.2
i don’t know what a cache is or how to empty it!

Hey Samuelharvest, to empty the Dropbox app's cache, tap on "account", then on the gear icon and then on "clear cache".
Let us know how it goes!

Hi Hannah,
Unfortunately clearing the cache has not resolved the issue.
I am also unable to export as a pdf onto my device

Hi Samuelharvest, based on the steps that you described, it sounds like you're using Excel when trying to export your files as .pdf into your Dropbox app, right?
- Samuelharvest2 years agoHelpful | Level 6Yes I guess so! I open the file in Dropbox with excel. That's right!

It might be that this is an Excel issue, instead then.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Excel app, to see if it helps?
Also, do you have a Microsoft subscription that you're signed into on the app?
