Download iMac photo albums to iPhone

Downloading photos from Dropbox to iPhone Photos app was asked in 2017. What is the up-to-date answer to this question?

That's correct, the mobile app is mainly used for previewing files on the app, or for exporting a few files into other apps.

You mean if I have 1000 photos on my iMac to download to my iPhone from my Dropbox Photo collection, I would have to do it one at a time?
