Is is possible to set per file custom metadata in dropbox?
I would like to store application specific data (text for json) using the APIs.
Cheers
Fernando
Just to update this with the most recent info:
- Dropbox moved all the data from AWS to our in-house infrastructure in 2015. See: https://blogs.dropbox.com/tech/2016/03/magic-pocket-infrastructure/
- Yes, now in 2017 there is a way to write custom metadata labels and values using the Dropbox API. See: https://blogs.dropbox.com/developers/2017/09/dbx-platform-launches-with-three-new-apis/

No, this isn't currently possible, but I'll be sure to pass this along as a feature request.

Thank Gregory, as far as I know Dropox uses AWS S3 under the hood which provides metadata.
